Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • What does Moses warn the people about when they have plenty, and who does he say gives the power to get wealth?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself, my work and my land?

    • When has a good season made you forget God, or think your own skill did it?
  3. What will I obey this week, at home and on my land? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • How will you honour God with the next thing he gives you — a harvest, a sale, a wage — and when?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who is doing well right now and might need to hear this before their heart turns proud?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Lord, when we have eaten and are full, we forget you. Every good harvest tempts us to say we did it ourselves. Remind us that it is you who gives the power to produce, and keep us humble when we have plenty.
